This looks interesting. I'm having trouble working out the use cases though from the video. Would the makers chime in and tell us the benefits and why they made it?
Thomas Grapperon
@webbuzzau The use cases are as diverse as the users. For a musician, having song sheets at hand is very convenient, whereas you're practicing alone, or performing in front of a live audience in a band. You can roughly consider SongKit as a word processor that knows music. It uses its knowledge to discharge the user of many tedious tasks. It is also more accessible and agile for this purpose than a complex score editor, while still generating beautiful documents. Existing apps are generally not using modern iOS features, have limited musical knowledge, and their song layout is very basic. SongKit is capable of automatically offsetting the lyrics to prevent chords from overlapping for example, while displaying voicings for piano and guitar that it computes itself given user preferences. And it can do a lot more! You can look at the review I've linked for more information.

@webbuzzau @thomasgrapperon @thegtdninja Is there any way to edit or at least view the sheets on the web? This solves a major pain point for me but I'd need to be able to view from my Mac
Thomas Grapperon
@webbuzzau @thegtdninja @shl0ms Hi. This is a native app and you can't access it from the web. I'm working on the Mac version right know though. It will be included as a universal purchase with the iOS app.

@thomasgrapperon Thanks Thomas.

Looks very cool, but $10 to try an app with no reviews is a tad steep

@shl0ms I’ve been using this app in beta for several months. If you play guitar or piano and use chord sheets, the app is a great value. It’s extremely well done, and makes laying out chord sheets fun! Great to work in, very stable, and the developer is responsive. His last app, Chord!, has been getting regular updates for years. This guy has a proven track record of great work.
