One year ago, we launched our first version of socra here ("Crush Your Goals with AI") and hit #2 Product of the Day. We had great traction and quickly grew to over 60,000 users. What happened next changed everything.
The initial feedback was great - users were planning their goals with AI and the plans were detailed and actionable. But then something familiar started happening: just like in real life, people would eventually give up. They'd drift away from their goals, lose momentum, and get stuck.
That's when it hit us: people don't just need better planning tools or another AI telling them what to do. And they definitely don't pursue meaningful goals alone - that's not how we're wired as humans. Often the case that the different models don't follow my line of thought, always a pain!
I love the fact that this is usable across a number of teams/people, unbelievable to be able to translate that shared vision & in a really great platform with a killer UI!

When Ed and I started rebuilding socra from scratch last year, we had this wild idea: create a living, breathing platform where humans and AI collaborate seamlessly, learn from each other, and evolve together in symbiosis.
The technical challenges were massive, but the coolest part is that we're using socra to build socra. Every bug fix, feature addition, and improvement happens within our own system.
We're laying the foundation for something revolutionary: a co-operating system that will be able to exponentially improve itself. This is just the beginning, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all.

Socra is amazing! I was using Taskade for project management and Notion for research, but I naturally switched to Socra as I started to understand how to take advantage of its unique hierarchical architecture.
I am a teacher and a researcher. I am currently working on my PhD thesis with Socra and it's extremely efficient and satisfying.
As an autistic person, I also use Socra for journaling and ASD management, and it's really really good.
And it still feels like I'm not using the full potential of the platform.
