Hey folks!
So stoked to be launching SnapTV with my cofounder @akshaygoradia with the support of @gerardadams!
SnapTV brings you the content you love in the place you want to see it — Snapchat.
With over 10 billion video views a day, there’s no doubt that Snapchat has become the most influential platform among millennials. This is why we’re creating the first ever Snapchat media company.
We are bringing together influencers, content creators, and the greater Snapchat community to collectively direct our show. We truly believe that SnapTV is the future of entertainment for millennials, and we’re here to make it happen.
To our audience: start sending ideas on what you’d like to see on SnapTV — this is your show.
Happy watching,
Joe and the SnapTV team

This is a really interesting concept and looking forward to checking it out.
As long as the content keeps coming and is of a decent quality then I can see this doing well (obviously that is the challenge!)
How are you looking at notifying people what shows are on and where? (maybe a bot?)
@bentossell — thanks, Ben! Agreed — challenge accepted :)
Remember: We're letting the audience help us direct the show. So, if you have anything cool you'd like to see on SnapTV, (i.e. Sky Diving with DJ Khaled, Fire Side Chat over beer pong with Zach Galifianakis, or even "A Day in The Life in a Tesla feat. Elon Musk), then let me know!
Our schedule will be displayed on our website (http://thesnap.tv/) and at the start every week on our Snapchat (@thesnap.tv).
The bot is an awesome idea. We'll for sure build one and let you know when it's ready.
@mojolaresca@akshaygoradia@gerardadams If Snapchat becomes the future of TV, you can be TV manufacturers are going to start building, or at least allowing, 90° rotation. Portrait tvs.
@ajm5338 thanks, Adam!
Re: MTV Cribs — YAS 🙌🙌🙌 It's absolutely making a come back on SnapTV ;)
Any cool places you'd like to see featured on our "SnapTV Cribs" segment?
Horizontal not vertical videos.
No way would I watch anything for longer than a few seconds in v-mode.
Seriously, why are vertical videos still a thing?
@pointandstare one does not have to agree with it, consider it a new form of medium. As shown with periscope, Meerkat and Snapchat, vertical is here to stay. More and more people are shooting vertical format.
Blame the ergonomics of the smart phone, they don't design apps horizontally
