I'm Mattia, the developer of SnapHab.
I've always found it difficult to stay consistent when developing new habits.
It's hard to repeat activities again and again, day after day.
So I decided to create SnapHab: a habit tracking web app designed to help people stay consistent in developing new habits more effectively.
My approach combines simplicity, science, and a bit of fun. Here’s a quick overview:
- Track Your Habits: Set up habits with a list of actions to complete. Log them daily to keep track of your progress.
- Personalized Progress Scores: A unique algorithm generates a score based on how frequently you perform an action and how you feel afterward. The higher your score, the faster you build the habit!
- Morning Boost Feature: Research from a 2017 study suggests that performing actions in the morning accelerates habit formation. The app uses this insight to adjust your score, encouraging morning routines.
- Visualize Your Progress: A simple dashboard shows your last 7 days of activity, with charts to help you analyze your progress.
- Simple Gamification: The app keeps track of your experience based on the score you earn by performing actions. As you accumulate experience, you level up, adding a layer of motivation to keep you consistent.

@foxbit19 Don't get me started on how difficult it is to stay consistent for any new habit. In the last year itself I must have started like 10 things which are no where in my daily routine now. Will give it a try, need some more to stay consistent. All the best for the launch 🚀
Hi @foxbit19, SnapHab is great for helping people build good habits (i.e. reading, working out, etc.). Just out of curiosity, would you consider adding a leaderboard feature in the future? I'm sure users will be motivated to stick with it if they can compete with their friends :)

@allen_xu1130 Thank you! When you log an action, you earn XP: if you log in the morning, you earn more XP than in the evening. Based on your XP, a level is assigned, which you can see on your dashboard. I'm planning to enhance the gamification by introducing leaderboards and competition between 'players' on common habits like walking, mountain biking, and swimming and so on.
