Sleek is an AI-based virtual queuing platform that ends the headache of long lines. You may simply push a button, place order and get a text when it is ready by paying a dynamically calculated convenience fee There is no app download or user signup needed!
@regan Great question, let me elaborate!
We use deep learning on the customer's end, to determine a dynamically calculated โconvenience feeโ that is precise enough that they are willing to pay and skip the line. This takes into account the competitors, demand, inventory, order traffic and processing times - similar to Uberโs โsurge pricing'.
We also use AI to orchestrate the orders on our merchant's end so that their kitchen is more efficient and utilized right than simply sending them one by one. For example, small orders vs. large, prep time needed, staff availability etc.
It also provides us a long term competitive moat as the more data we have the better the algorithms will work.
Thanks so much for the great questions and feedback :) As someone who has always hated lines hopefully this is the start of a revolution towards leveraging the supercomputers we all carry in our pockets to make lining up as obsolete!
Today every aspect of commerce has been transformed by technology except the terrible, inefficient, awkwardness of people standing in front of one another to buy something. This is not only a bad user experience but inefficient economically for everyone involved.
We replace this single "wait in line or not" inefficient decision to an AI-based model that calculates a dynamic fee based on the near-infinite number of variables upon which humans make actual decisions -- how long is that line, what's the weather outside, are there other venues in the immediate proximity with shorter or no lines, how hungry am I and millions of other data points to arrive at a perfect economic equilibrium between vendor and customer in terms of the marginal price the customer will pay to get ahead in the virtual line and the marginal cost the vendor needs to produce the thing the customer is standing in line for faster.
@anuja_verma Thanks, Anuja for the question!
You'll can find us at Presidio Park / Off The Grid event - We deployed our product last Sunday with Hot Bird, a food pop-up store with an infamously long line. We saved some folks nearly ~30 min of waiting time that they instead spent playing with their dog :)
We also got a glimpse into what a product-market fit could look like! Despite our scrappy product, buggy UI & our marketing poster not in the direct line of sight; we spread like wildfire and mostly through word of mouth. That feeling was magical :)
