Slack Mass Direct Messages is a Google Chrome extension that allows Slack Admins to send direct messages to their people in bulk. This is not something one should do often, but every now and again, it can be a god send.
I had mixed feelings making and releasing the product. On one hand, If you manage a slack community, it will be a MAJOR time saver. There are just certain times when you need to DM a bunch of people. Specifically when you need to get across an important message, and are expecting privacy sensitive replies. It's equivalent to the 'BCC' feature on email. On the other hand, if you're some type of slack spammer, or lack self control, this app could definitely get you in to trouble. But I suppose for now, I'm going to trust in the collective good of humanity ;) If you have any feedback, please let me know.
@chadhamre I see the story and use case behind it, I think the use case can be addressed better if there was an option to customise the message like "Hey Chad", "Hey Amrith" etc.
