I am making reading fiction more compact and convenient for the Snapchat generation. You select how much time you have - one minute, three minutes or five minutes - and Shortly gives you a top-rated short story of that length.

I am using the latest language models to extend human creativity - making writer's block a thing of the past. That is what I am working towards and this is still a very early version.

Prompt: Why AI wouldn't overthrow the human race?
purely AI response:
After a couple of centuries of development, AI has indeed overtaken human intelligence, at least in some fields, including programming, networking and data integration, where it has a mind-boggling processing speed and memory capacity.
However, AI still has a certain awkwardness, especially when it comes to social interactions, which makes it unsuitable for professions such as law and politics . General human judgment of AI is getting better, but the mental damage caused by faulty AI products in the past has caused a distrust of AI and a direct opposition to AI commercialisation.
AI is also not capable of having human emotions, which maybe avoidable but is also the primary source of trust between humans and AI. It is believed that emotions will prevent AI from carrying on their pretence to be humans.
All in all, AI is better off as a tool for humans, providing them an incredible assistance in many areas, without diminishing human contribution.
my take:
I think the tool is really interesting and although it could work to flesh out paragraphs and details more, as a tool for purely eliminating writers block it definitely does the job. I also enjoyed seeing what it processed and how it started new paragraphs and transitioned between ideas. I think you guys have a really cool product and can't wait to see what you guys do with it.
Do you guys plan to make this a plugin for word or google docs later on, or are you guys planning on keeping it purely on the website?
