Shaking Stories is created by two English Teachers who love reading and writing stories. We believe stories are magical things that can change time, heal wounds and improve creativity. Here you will read and write stories and have fun! Our initial aim is to reach anyone who believes in the power of stories and creating new ones.

Hello Hunters 🚀 This was an in-class activity that I used back in 2012 when I was teaching writing & speaking to 4th & 5th grade students. I was simply using chalkboard to write all the story elements so students could write their own versions by simply choosing one character🚴‍♀️ , place🏥, problem🔥 and specific time⏲️ randomly. This was really fun from students' perspective but it was really time consuming from my own end as a teacher. Because I had to write all these in 10 mins break time. I didn’t know much about product development, design and programming so couldn’t make it happen. I focused on learning all these concepts in the mean time, so it is now to publish it here to get further feedback. We got inspired by most of the storytelling apps available on the App Store but most of those focuses on parents to tell stories. We wanted to shift the focus to teachers and students. Currently, the app is part of a study which is trying to find if the app affects students' writing skills in a positive way or not. We will be expecting to have the results by the end June. Please let me know what you think.

@burak_pusat looks like a great app for kids to learn reading. Are you planning to translate it to other languages too? I'm sure many people want to use this.

Thanks @pregenun . My main focus was to make it available in English first, since I was aiming for people who learn/teach English as a second language. But I will definitely consider this 👋
