Hey everyone!
I originally made this as a telegram bot that I could use for myself! I found it very useful so I made this for everyone to use! I hope you use it, to me it's really useful and helps my mental health and wellbeing.
I wish I could have made it free, but of course the OpenAI API is not free... If the pricing changes I'll definitely change the prices :) Who knows, maybe in the near future we can switch to an on-device LLM and stop paying completely! I'm happy to give away some* free trials manually, so just reach out if interested.
Thanks!

Your initiative to share a tool that helped you with mental health is awesome. Understandable about the OpenAI API costs, and it's great that you're open to giving away some free trials. Looking forward to exploring it and maybe a future with on-device LLM
I've been using Seren for a while now, and honestly, it's way more than your average journaling app. It's like having a personal coach tucked away in your phone. The prompts get you thinking deeper than you'd expect, which is super cool for understanding yourself better. Plus, I love the privacy aspect – I can spill all my thoughts without worrying.
What really stands out is how Seren gives you these spot-on insights. It's like it knows exactly what you need to reflect on. The design is sleek, and navigating through the app is a breeze, making journaling something I look forward to every day. For anyone trying to get a better handle on their thoughts and life, Seren's a game-changer.

Outside of the basics, like HTTPS, TLS and tokenization, the entries & messages you send to the backend are encrypted and only decrypted (in an isolated service) the moment just before sending them to OpenAI (and OpenAI has their own privacy policy that we adhere to). The amount of data decrypted is the minimum required so that OpenAI can give a proper response, therefore there's no PII (Personally identifiable information) whatsoever anywhere.
Like the concept and design. But long term usage seems to miss the historical data. Maybe the entries are not stored with the date on them? The AI seems to mess not know what happened when.
