Sensivo is a data mangement platform for storing sensitive personal information. Think Google sheets or Airtable for sensitive information. Sensivo enables remote collaboration, simplifies data management and amplifies privacy compliance.
Hi everyone!
We started building Sensivo to help the clinical research community move their patient data from excel files into a secure database with similar functions as a spreadsheet.
What we have now built is a spreadsheet that is completely re-engineered for sensitive personal data, where people can store, manage and collaborate on data without worrying about GDPR compliance or risking the privacy of the data subject. We hope you like it.
Hey @martijn_verbove
Thanks for asking and giving us an opportunity to explain that in more detail.
There are three factors to consider in this regard. Technical security, the user interface, and how the two are intertwined with data privacy.
From a technical perspective, Sensivo uses best practices when it comes to security, such as pseudonymization, multi-factor authentication, role-access-based access, and encryption in motion. Additionally, we separate the storing of personally identifiable information and the sensitive data collected on an individual.
Since most security breaches and data leaks are due to human errors, we have designed the user interface to minimize the exposure of sensitive personal data. So-called privacy by design. Data subjects entered into a database instantly become pseudonymized and can become anonymized in one click. With different access roles of users, access to personal information is on need-to-know bases, and all data exports are password protected and stripped of personal information. We then were able to build the product from the ground up around GDPR, with a mechanism in place to fulfil the data subjects' right to data portability and to be forgotten.
I hope it gives you a glimpse into our security and privacy.
Let me know if you want more :)
