Hey everyone!
Saucedrop was born after a combination of things happened at the same time. First off my wife and I had become increasingly bored of the standard hot sauces stocked at our local grocery store. Secondly, I was witness to a very long and heated discussion with my colleagues at ustwo about which hot sauce was better - Cholula, Tabasco or Sriracha.
This was the light bulb moment.
Looking for a variety of flavorsome sauces and consistent quality beyond the big names was proving to be difficult, which gave us an idea.
Wouldn't it be great if we could get the best sauces hot sauces from around the world delivered directly to our home every month?
We we would love feedback about our shipping frequencies/quantities - hot sauce seems to be fairly divisive, with some fans buying very frequently, and others dabbling only once in a while, we'd like to improve our range to cater for all tastes. Thanks!
Cool concept! @dnfisher I saw that you used my little icons from The Noun Project for the price table :). I would love to give it a try but I'm in the US right now, so maybe when you go worldwide :).
@juliendeveaux Hey Julien! Yeah - saw your icons and I had to have them! Also - just to clear things up, we are based in New York, and we are shipping anywhere in the continental US for this initial launch period. We are working on rolling out internation shipping soon, but want to iron out any kinks in our UX/fulfillment before we expand outside the US.
I like this idea so much I made a prototype landing page around a theoretical hot sauce delivery service my co-workers and I dreamt up over lunch.
