Why hello there Product Hunters. It’s great to be back. Sādu makes the investment in nature-based carbon removal fun and accessible by using a combination of fitness gamification and token economics. What does the app do? - Use the app to earn digital assets backed by nature. - There are two ways to do this. 1. Connect a fitness app, like Apple Health, to automatically convert your steps or workouts into points, aka trees. We never share any data and everyone can remain completely anonymous if they choose. 2. Subscribe to earn trees every month. If you connect your apps then you earn additional trees whenever you work out or go for a walk. - Every tree you earn is a form of finance for nature-based carbon removal and the projects that make it happen. We call them our Ecosystem Partners. - The trees also act as a point system to determine when a nature-backed asset will be issued to your collection. A note from Sādu WTF is a digital asset backed by nature? When we say nature-backed asset we mean every single collectable contains the data to verify the existence of a living tree and the work required to keep it alive. You can verify your nature-backed asset by looking into the token metadata for the geotags and satellite imagery. The assets are valued not just by their ability to turn trees into digital gold, or the fact that we all put so much sweat into earning them, they are also a piece of creative expression. The first 100 assets are one-of-a-kind collectables designed by digital artist Stacie Ant, https://www.stacieant.com/. These assets can be used as profile pics, collected, or traded on OpenSea. Sādu provides funding to the Ecosystem Partners according to all the trees earned in the app. We do this by using the revenue from our in-app subscriptions and company fitness challenges. Therefore to make a free version of the app without selling ad space, we have a couple of rules upfront. To use the app for free: - Start a Crew challenge and make sure at least one other person has joined. - Join a Crew that has already been started. Free Crews are open to all. - Enter your activities or connect your fitness app to start earning.
