Row Zero is the fastest spreadsheet. Connect to your data warehouse or upload a CSV, analyze billion row datasets in a familiar spreadsheet and share with your team. Row Zero is a last mile analytics tool for business teams who need to work with big data.
Hi Product Hunters! I'm excited to introduce Row Zero, the world's fastest spreadsheet.
At Row Zero, we love spreadsheets. The flexibility and expressiveness are unmatched by any other data tool and spreadsheets are still the fastest way to explore data, build models and forecasts, and share with business partners. While working at AWS, we often wanted to use spreadsheets to analyze big datasets stored in the cloud but the data didn't fit in Excel and we couldn't easily connect and share our analyses. Those frustrations led us to build Row Zero.
Row Zero is a last mile analytics product for finance, operations, marketing, and other business teams that need to work with big datasets but prefer a spreadsheet over rigid BI tools or writing SQL. Here's what you get in Row Zero:
- Performance: Open giant data sets and interact with them just like you would in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity: The same UI, functions, and features as Excel and Google Sheets. There's no learning curve.
- Connectivity: Import data from and write-back to Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and S3 to build live models that are never stale.
- Collaborate: Sharing and real-time collaboration make it easy to work with colleagues and business partners without having to email Excel Files.
- Security: Keep your data in the cloud and prevent the security risk of locally stored spreadsheets and CSVs.
- Complex Analysis: Use python to build complex analyses or decompose inscrutably long spreadsheet functions.
Row Zero is the tool we wished we'd had in our previous roles. It has the power of BI tools but with a familiar spreadsheet interface and unmatched speed. All users get one free workbook so please give it a try and let us know what you think!
Nick and the Row Zero Team.
@nickbend Last week, I had a file with 6,5 million rows. I opened it on Row Zero in under a minute. It is the fastest spreadsheet I have ever worked with.
@umut_sonmez Glad to hear it! That's one of the pain points we're looking to solve. Just because you have a big data set doesn't mean you need to use complicated or expensive tools.
Hey Nick,
I'm curious, how does Row Zero handle real-time data updates from sources like Snowflake or Redshift?
Is there any latency, and how do you ensure data integrity during these updates?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin The data updates from data warehouses can be scheduled to happen on a specific cadence or any time they are triggered by the user. We connect directly to the data warehouse so the latency is the time to establish connection, execute the query, and import it to the spreadsheet. Here's an example: https://rowzero.io/snowflake
