• Take a picture or upload from your photo library, and our gemstone scanner will quickly verify the stone.
• Rarity & Magnetism.
• Composition & Origin and more.
• Free daily scans and unlimited ones for paid users.
• No ads, no tracking, no user data, no shady stuff.
Thanks! and please let us know what you think!

Congrats Raf & Pablo! RockPic sounds like a super handy tool — especially love the privacy-first approach (no ads, no tracking ✅). The inclusion of rarity, magnetism, and origin info makes it more than just an ID app — it feels educational too.
Would love to know: how broad is the stone database currently? Does it cover both common minerals and rarer collector-level specimens?
@rydensun Thanks so much! Love that you noticed the no-ads, no-tracking part — that was super important to us 🙌
About the coverage, we actually don’t have a fixed list or database. The app uses AI to figure it out, so it can recognize all kinds of rocks, from common ones to some pretty rare ones too. You’ll also see a little confidence % after each scan, so you know how sure the AI is about the result.
@busmark_w_nika Oh wow, that’s actually a really good point—we hadn’t really thought about that to be honest, but now that you mention it, it does sound like something worth exploring! Do you happen to have any ideas on how we could get started with that? Would love to hear your thoughts.
@rafs84 Possibly, you could reach out to some universities in your country or laboratories. Offer vouchers to collaborate with them. There are many opportunities, I think. But all that is about having the right contacts.

This could be good for students of petrology :) Do you have any ambition to promote it to academic institutions?
