ResumeSeed is a global platform of premium resume templates that help professionals across industries project the best version of themselves to employers.
Hey I always take great interest in resume template projects because that is how Rezi started. If you have any questions on how to operate - please let me know.
Some unsolicited advice based on my experiences
1. Lower prices to under $9, under $3 is even better. There is too much free competition (like Rezi)
2. Your biggest challenge will be inspiring job seekers to trust you. And furthermore, care about your resume philosophy. The approach you take now is "Impactful, and Premium" - this will be difficult. We started 5 years ago talking about ATS long before others.
3. In such a competitive shit-house of a niche market - you will live or die by your ability to execute on branding, customer experience, and marketing. I could be wrong, but a Shopify website won't cut it.
4. Paid growth doesn't exist - you'll have to think outside the box to get more users at scale. If you can't, ResumeSeed will likely burn out.
I hope these don't sound too cold, but the advice is what I've learned throughout the years. Here is an article that goes into more detail on growth -

Good luck!

I've always been curious about customers for these services -- are they one-off buyers never to be seen or heard from again? Or are they sticking around for 3 months and creating dozens of resumes (tailoring them for each application)? And who are the main buyers here -- recent grads?
@jacob_rezi Thank you! My wife has been in the recruitment space for the last 13 years and the venture is spearheaded by her, as she's been on the other side of the spectrum reviewing candidates and their applications.
Good points and thank you for that. We're building a brand and connecting with our target audiences to help them not just with the templates, but also arm with the techniques and strategies that help position them better to their prospect employers.
@mattholsinger It's a mix of professionals that are looking to update their resume or those that are in the market for a job. We recommend and guide job seekers to customize/tailor their resumes (not necessarily the design template) for each job/company they're applying to. Buyers are from across industries and most levels in the organization's hierarchy.

Interesting.
If I were you all, I'd produce "leave behind" templates for executives — I'd pay a couple hundred or so for a good one (and much, much more if someone sat on the phone with me, wrote it up and dropped it into a custom design).
Appreciate there being a free one so you can get a feel of how professional and clean all of the templates are! Very user-friendly and some great designs!
Resume Templates, Great. Could you share how did you "Battle-tested"? Can you share some #s, How you arrived at that? It says a/b tested ( most avg job seeker is not going to know what that is). a/b tested how? Are job seekers reporting call backs after using your template or your software rezi? or are you measuring it based on a successful job placement?
@satishgaire Good question! The efficacy cannot directly be determined by job placement, since no one got hired because their resume template looked good! :) Battle-tested for performance - holds when exported in different formats, fully editable without designs going awry or having to reengineer the template yourself, and from the responses candidates have received, either from hiring managers or reporting managers. Rezi has nothing to do with ResumeSeed at all!
