Being a leader is like riding a bike, except the bike is on fire. You need to make sure that work has been done, goals are met, and most importantly, that people in your team are taken care of, motivated and happy. My husband and I were both team leads for years, and we were always missing a tool that would help us do 1-on-1 meetings, keep the notes in order, and make everything as easy as possible. No fireworks, no 3947492 features, no need to put weeks of time into learning a tool that's supposed to make your life easier. A tool that's clear, simple and meant for managers who want to get to the bottom of real problems and challenges, but don't know the way.
I’ve had the great pleasure of having worked with the founders of Remoco in the past, and absolutely love the product’s vision and what it seeks to serve. All the best to Grethel and Indrek!
Hey Product Hunters,
Thanks for supporting us so far!
Just a little background information about Remoco and its founders. We’re a husband, and wife, both of us have been working in the tech industry our whole lives. Indrek is a really talented full-stack developer, and team lead. Grethel is an experienced team lead, and a book author. We’re raising kids, building a startup, and really just trying to change the world of (crappy) managers.
The two of us quit our jobs and started developing Remoco more than a year ago. We simply needed an easy tool to manage 1-on-1 meetings, and the existing tools out there didn’t make us happy enough. We were both team leads back then, constantly trying to grow and improve, but not having a proper system to communicate with our team members.
We did 1-on-1 meetings, we asked the questions, we gathered the feedback, but didn’t have a place where the collected feedback would be structured and later be analyzed. Often we were out of ideas for conversations, and we didn’t have an order to make sure the feedback will be put into practice.
It’s so important to have a consistent flow in gathering feedback, and simply just speaking to your teammates. It prevents so many problems, builds trust and is overall an investment into your team as a whole. For us, it’s a bit odd that people don’t find the time to put any effort into team communication, but somehow they find the time and money to hire new people, because when people don’t feel they’re heard, they tend to leave.
We’re really looking forward to your feedback - in here, via social media or our public web’s contact form. We can become better only with your help.
Thank you!
Grethel & Indrek
