Hey guys! Cedric here, founder of Reesykle. I created Reesykle because of a problem that I tried to solve last year in the fashion industry. For those who are not aware, the fashion industry accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions. However, many of us don't talk about the amount of waste generated by fast fashion! Research shows that the number of garments produced annually has doubled since 2000 and exceeded 100 billion for the first time in 2014. An estimated 92 million tons of textile waste is created annually from the fashion industry. Shockingly, every second, the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is landfilled or burned globally. I wanted to tackle this problem and figure out a way to decrease the waste generated by fast fashion. After carefully considering my options, it dawned on me that what I was trying to solve was bigger than I thought. Being an engineer, I decided to tackle the problem differently. I believe in the power of decentralization and the benefits that blockchain offers to this world, especially nowadays with all the debate surrounding privacy, corruption, climate change, etc. So I thought to myself, why not use the most energy-efficient blockchain to build an ecosystem that would house eco-friendly products and services that would provide environmentally conscious folks with an eco-friendly alternative to existing products and services. Thus, Reesykle was born. The whole point of Reesykle is to take an environment-first approach to everything that it does, meaning that by simply using any of the products or services provided by the ecosystem, you are directly contributing to the better of the environment! Congrats on the launch! Sounds very interesting. And what criteria are used to select services for the ecosystem?

This company’s mission and utility is unlike any other tech/crypto company that I’ve invested into. I believe in the project and developers, and I plan to support Reesykle for the long haul. I’m looking forward to the launch of Reelty as well. Very bullish!
