We just released Reel You to the App Store! Building Reel You has been an incredible journey and I would deeply appreciate your feedback. *What's the inspiration behind the app?* Over the years I tried different ways to capture moments in my life (journaling, phone notes, brief stints on FB/IG, photo albums, etc.) with no consistent success. Each way had its flaws (inaccessible, unorganized, too private, too public, etc.) and didn't fully represent my real life. *What makes Reel You different?* You can capture the moments that matter to you in an authentic way because, by default, each moment is private. Most people share moments with the other people they experienced that particular moment with. Everybody can add their own perspective to the moment! Get the social buzz without the anxiety or social pressure. *What are the top things to check out?* 1. Create some moments (past or future!) with friends. 2. "Swap" the Reel view to see your moments in different ways. 3. Use "search" to dynamically filter your Reel to certain people, places and activities (or any combo). You never need to create photo albums again! *What's coming next?* 1. New Reel views: Countdown, Map, Throwbacks and many more. 2. New media options: video, audio, weather, drawings and much more. 3. We barely scratched the surface of Recs. Lots more coming here. *Final notes* The app is free. We will never introduce ads. We do not share your personal info. We have invested lots of time in functionality that helps you control your content and sharing settings. I’ve been a beta user for months now and I’m so excited to see this app finally go to the app store! I love that I’m able to selectively share and collaborate on moments. I also don’t feel sucked into the app, wasting my time scrolling through other people’s feeds because you can’t do that in Reel You. You just see your ‘reel’ with all your moments. The other day my friend and I went to a museum and had lunch together. We made a moment about it in Reel You and both added our pictures and wrote a story. She remembered a lot of the details I had forgot and it was so nice to read both our reflections. It's kind of like a collaborative journal. Also love the option to filter my reel on a tag. The next time I visit a museum I’ll tag it and will be able to see all my museum trips with different people in different locations.

@hannah_koopman It's super cool to hear how you are using Reel You. Thanks for being a Beta "Youser" and providing such great feedback. I also love filtering my Reel - the other day I filtered my Reel on my best friend and could see all of our moments together, including a road trip to Lake Tahoe. Then I was curious about all of my moments in Tahoe and filtered on those next!

I love how this goes beyond the usual surface level connection of a social app. It's more authentic! Love it!
