Hi Product Hunt community 👋 This is Akarsh - Founder of Reach.live (YC W’20). Today we are launching Reach.Live 2.0. Over the last few months of being in public beta, we have hosted hundreds of hours of events from all over the world, taken tons of feedback from the community 🌎, added new features ⚙️ tested and improved our tech stack. We have also significantly evolved the direction of the product into a more vertically integrated solution. 🌴 Product Direction update - Live & On Demand Tech Content 🚀 We evolved the product direction from being a generic all in one video event platform to focussing on hosting Tech Content - like Tech Talks, Tech Recruiting Events, Office Hours, Product Demos. The goal is to give companies a way to build a strong tech brand and drive business growth. Many of us have been viewing content from great engineers, engineering managers, product & community managers of different companies like Retool, Plaid, Stripe, Scale, Mixpanel, AWS, Digital Ocean and many others hosting amazing talks about their products/engineering work. But this content is usually scattered over Youtube, Eventbrite, Zoom, Google Meet, company blogs, webinar tools etc. and hard to find afterwards. With so much great content being created - we thought maybe it's worth creating a large repository of Technical content - hosted live & on-demand. This is what we are trying to achieve with Reach.Live. Here are the major product updates 🎉: 🌏 Explore - We have created a catalogue of companies from around the world across different categories and sub-categories. Each company has its own profile which can be easily claimed via the company email - Example of company profile: https://reach.live/stripe . We spent quite some time creating a smooth and joyful browsing experience for users - to find new companies and their related content here. 📤Join & Claim a company - Anyone can signup and attend talks for their companies and find amazing talks that are being hosted. For anyone to host their company’s talk - they have to verify with their company email address. The flow has been made seamless for users to find and join their company page right from their dashboard. 🎳Teams - Users can invite their colleagues as team members right in the Reach Dashboard. This way if different users from one organisation are hosting talks or hosting different types of talks at different times, it becomes easier to manage hosting schedules. 💻Audience Engagement : We wanted to make these experiences as interactive as possible for the audience members who want to join other’s talks. Thus the Reach video experience comes with a built in suite of engagement tools like Polls, Group Photos, Attaching URLs, Playback Vimeo videos live, Group & private chats and Breakout rooms. 🧳Event Templates: As we focus on creating a large repository hosting live & demand tech content - we focussed on making the creation process simple as well by creating templates of the type of content our users want to host: Tech Talks - focussing on Technical talks about a company's technical stack - breakthroughs and sharing with the community at large Office hours - focussing on helping users answer questions on a regular basis Product demos - showcasing new product features and product updates Tech recruiting - hosting live recruiting events for companies to attract top tech talent Build in public - unlocking new growth opportunities for a company and brand building by creating their company and products in public 🔮What’s next? oh the on demand part is interesting. when companies do webinars, they often don‘t upload a copy of the video. probably out of intertia. how can you turn a live video in on demand one?
