Thrilled to finally launch @Rando. The app was so fun to build, and hopefully just as fun to use. It's a great way to surface and share random photos, GIFs, and quotes. And if you dare, send them blindly. It’s a fun, almost gimmicky app, but it also challenges you to think more about what you share and why as well as what embarrassing photos might be lurking on your camera roll!
Over Christmas, me and my family played a game we named Camera Rollette (h/t @JackSmithIV for the name), where each person shares a random photo from their camera roll and someone else has to guess the location (more in this post). This app reminds me a lot of that. Now if only it had a auto-share without confirmation option for brave people. 😀
Awesome stuff, @drbarnard and team.
Thanks @rrhoover! I’ve been toying with the concept for over a year now, and we built a prototype in the fall, but your post about Camera Rollette inspired us to jump right in and get an MVP out. We have a few more related concepts we'd love to build out if we get the chance.
