RagtimeCloud provides no-hassle sync, backups and advanced features for Joplin. In addition to offering WebDAV-based-sync and other options, we're working on email-to-note, hosting static websites and more.
@dean_lofts No you are absolutely not! If you're using Joplin sync (Dropbox, OneDrive, S3 all work decently AFAIK) and it's working for you that's fantastic. Joplin is such a good tool that I wasn't *sure* that people would need RagtimeCloud, but every once in a while I see people struggle to get Sync working, or complain about how slow it is (Joplin server is very fast), ask about how to get backups, or complain about pricing of DAV providers. I built this to get in there and offer an option.
Another thing is that a bunch of the plugins are really only available to you if you run the desktop version -- I'd love to hear if there is anything you think would make your Joplin experience better (you can tell me here or email hello@ragtime.cloud or whatever).
For example email-to-note is something not even Notion has right now (Evernote does though). That and static sites are super interesting to me as a way to make my make Joplin do even more for me. That said, I'm currently dealing with just *how* to do it -- sharing notes in Joplin Server is only a recent feature, and it won't really work for people using WebDAV AFAIK. So then how can I expose the features built-in to Joplin to others without taking their notes unencrypted? Another feature I'm excited about is collaborating on notes -- IMO being able to share a link set up with tiptap (https://www.tiptap.dev/) that ends up writing to a prescribed note is a pretty amazing feature.
