Hey everyone! 🏎️ 👋 I came up with this idea back when I realized how disconnected and hard to find events are in the car community, and especially the motorcycle community. Additionally, the popular layout of social media apps were never tailored to automotive enthusiasts, creating a large disconnect where users wouldn't be able to create a personalized presence in these spaces, and would have to simply conform to the features of social apps that never really catered to this audience. 💔
Racr exists to solve that problem 💡 In the app, users can create, share and find anything related to automotive content.👇
- Want to share what you have in your garage? 🚗 Go to your profile and click the "My Garage" button, where you can upload your vehicles in great detail, all the way down to the drivetrain, transmission type, and even your vehicle horsepower and body color. The best thing is that it's public for other users to see as well. 🤠
- Want to find or create events? 🔍 That's easy! You have two options: Uploading to friends only or on the Live Map. The Live Map 🗺️ allows you to add an event anywhere on a map, and after adding the necessary info, it will immediately become visible to all users at the exact location📍 What's even better, is that when you tap on the event details, you can find directions directly to the location with one tap. Want to share the event to friends only? 👥 You can do that too, and anyone who is friends with you will exclusively see the events you post. You might be asking, why aren't you mentioning followers? Because there aren't any! Read below.👇
- The best feature about Racr is that there is NO following system, but rather a friending system. Find someone you fancy? Send them a friend request 😸 If they fancy you too, you'll become mutual friends 🫂 and you'll be able to see it visibly via a mutual friend icon. What are the benefits of being friends? It allows you to see every post they make, as well as any events they upload. 📤 Additionally, users don’t see how many friends you have or people you’ve friended until you become mutual friends.
- Friend feed and Explore feed. The best part of having an account on Racr is being able to view any and all posts from the general public or simply see what your friends are posting either on their stories or posts. 📸
