Hello Product Hunt, I'm a hobbyist programmer with an affinity for tools that simplify routine tasks. I'm a firm believer in subtracting steps, not just rerouting them. With that in mind, I'm excited to introduce my Google Chrome extension: Quilt. Quilt auto-tiles your Google Chrome windows based on your screen dimensions – a truly "set it and forget it" tool. It's designed to feel intuitive and predictable while also freeing you from the task of micromanaging your windows. Once downloaded, create some new windows to see it in action. I hope you'll find Quilt useful. As you might expect, any ratings or reviews on the Chrome Web Store would help the visibility of the extension greatly. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
Your commitment to simplifying tasks and eliminating unnecessary steps is admirable. Quilt's ability to auto-tile windows based on screen dimensions is sure to save users valuable time and reduce the hassle of window management. I'm curious, what inspired you to create Quilt? And do you have any future enhancements or features in mind that you'd like to add to this handy extension?

@ricardo_luz Thanks for your comment Ricardo and thanks for checking out Quilt. I often get lured in by tools that promise time-saving benefits only to quickly abandon them because they require too much manual input. I'm inclined towards building tools that largely operate autonomously, needing little intervention. I often have a large number of tabs open in a number of windows for work and things can get chaotic. I created Quilt as a simple way for me to manage my windows without really having to think too much about it and since I've been using it for some time personally, I think others could benefit from it too. There are no plans to add any more functionality yet, however Quilt is just one of a few tools that I'm working on with a similar philosophy.

Hello dear maker, Kudos for the efforts. But many monitor screens provide this feature inbuilt I guess. I am using Benq screen and I can even customize my tile view of tabs. But this is a great try, Kudos!

@pavithra_lakshmikanthan Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure what you meant by monitors providing this feature inbuilt, are you referring to the system window management features found on Windows/macOS? If so, it's not intended to replace these controls. It's specifically a hands-free tiler for your browser windows and having no configurable workspaces is an intentional design decision.
