For each transaction to be approved 2 of 3 would need to come together to approve it. So, if the 1/3 you have stored in the front end of your wallet is compromised, don't worry, no one can access the assets within the wallet. Multi-sig, the process of bringing 2 of 3 keys together, also means that if a 1/3 is compromised, the other 2 can be used to regain access and regenerate the one that was compromised.
