I’m guessing there aren’t regional limitations to this. For instance if a entrepreneur is in India, would they be eligible on the platform? @isaacalbets

@musolek thanks for asking! The idea is not to have limitations - because great entrepreneurs can be anywhere, as can great angels. So an entrepreneur in India would be eligible as long as 1) it's referred by an already successful entrepreneur, and 2) is executing at a high level. That's the two unique things that matter :)

@samar_ux Thanks, Samar :D Very happy to hear that. Works both ways! Great question - Angellist is awesome! But if you don't have a network it's less useful. Of course, you can try adding all the Angels you want in your round one by one and try to hone a relationship. But Angels (especially if they are great) have so much inbounding they don't usually take people unless it's by referrals. And this is a referral from great entrepreneurs and then us in the middle assessing as well these entrepreneurs, doing due diligence and all that stuff and then presenting the best match. The whole point is simple - if you are a great entrepreneur because you're executing at a high level, why should you even stop executing to fundraise? You shouldn't. And finally, simply there is too much clutter in Angellist. There is too much clutter in the investing space. for great angels to find all the great performing entrepreneurs out there. |Hope that brings more clarity, happy to explain further if not.
