Proberix is designed to notify you when your API endpoint or website is down. It checks from multiple geographic locations, performing simultaneous HTTP and HTTPS checks to detect server errors, unavailability, and timeouts.
Hello Product Hunt! 👋
After years in a product team at a leading monitoring company, I decided it was time to create something of my own.
For 7 years, I assisted teams in designing and building SaaS applications for website and uptime monitoring. During this period, I noticed a recurring trend in the industry: once companies received their initial investment or were acquired, their focus often shifted significantly. The priorities turned towards maximizing revenue, leading to bloated applications and a focus on metrics for investors and shareholders. Consequently, this resulted in more expensive plans and a barrage of "UPGRADE NOW!" emails for oversized packages.
These strategies frequently utilized dark UX patterns aimed not only at increasing fees but also at making it challenging for users to disengage or opt for simpler alternatives.
I set out to test an idea: developing a straightforward, user-centric app that excels in one specific area rather than offering an all-in-one solution. After testing a pilot version and seeing strong user retention, I decided to transition from the experimental stage to a more established phase. I’m excited to introduce Proberix — a monitoring tool designed to promptly alert you if your website or API goes down.
Recognizing the critical nature of downtime for SaaS owners, I believe you'll find it worthwhile to try. My aim is to create an app that appears simple yet is built to handle enterprise-level tasks without the clutter and pressure commonly seen in post-investment scenarios.
I’d greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks for checking it out!
@nkozmoyan This sounds like a great idea, especially for users who are frustrated with bloated monitoring tools! Proberix's focus on simplicity and core functionality is refreshing. Here are some questions and how you can leverage my expertise:
- Does Proberix offer different notification options (e.g., email, SMS) and escalation procedures for critical alerts?
- Are there any plans for integrations with other monitoring or communication platforms?
As a developer, I'm interested in the technical aspects behind the monitoring system and the user interface design. If those align with my expertise (e.g., notification systems, back-end development, UI/UX design), I might be able to contribute to future development of Proberix!
Overall, Proberix seems like a valuable tool for users who need a straightforward website and API monitoring solution. I'd love to learn more about alerting options and potential future integrations.
@memphys_sk thank you for the question.
Proberix uses geographically distributed servers that perform checks independently and report back to the main server. This setup allows you to receive results from different sources (geographical locations), providing insights like latency and other measurements.

Hi Narek,
How does Proberix differ from other monitoring tools in terms of features and usability? Also, do you offer any analytics on the downtime data?
Congrats on the launch!
HI @kyrylosilin thank you for your question!
The core idea is to provide simple yet powerful tools typically found in enterprise-level applications. For instance, the notification policies can be configured to send alerts to multiple channels based on set thresholds.
While the majority of other monitoring tools rely on round-robin checking, Proberix uses independent locations that simultaneously check from different geographic regions. This significantly increases the accuracy of the monitoring.
For example, while other tools may offer access to enterprise-level features only in expensive plans, every plan with Proberix includes all features. This includes multi-tenant support, allowing users to manage different accounts separately. This is particularly useful for organizations with multiple teams or clients.
