As a Software Engineer, I can see some extreme value in a product like this. Being able to quickly get some insight into what is going on within a team can be super helpful for engineering leaders. I like how the product doesn’t tell them how to interpret the data, but gives it to them on a silver platter and lets them decide what it means for their team.

This is great! However I'm curious how it'd handle someone who maybe is not doing as many PRs and lines of code but their work is way more important and complicated vs someone who is doing a ton of tasks per day but their tasks are super simple, would the latter be considered more efficient even though maybe the first one is actually more productive and efficient?

@alan_rivera Great question, Alan. For this reason, at Prism, we believe it's important to take a wholistic approach to understanding developer productivity. If you only measure one metric, that metric becomes a bad metric. Additionally, every company places importance of different metrics and processes. For this reason, we don't rank each developer. Rather, we provide companies with the data to make decisions based on what they care about most. Especially because they are most familiar with each developer and what they're working on.
