Poster.Party is a community and marketplace for limited-edition posters. Collectors can preview how art will look on their walls and share their collection. Artists can sell high-quality art with no seller fees or subscriptions. It's a party for your walls!
Hey everyone! This started over two years ago when I was exploring a way to digitally present my poster collection to friends. It quickly evolved into a platform to address a lot of the needs I saw in the poster community: Artists incurring lots of fees for e-commerce, scalpers taking all of the limited copies, and even collectors forgetting what posters they own.
So why release now? Well, it honestly seems like the time where Poster.Party could help the most. A lot of artists have taken a financial hit with conventions and art shows being cancelled. The community also seems more bored at home looking to catalog their collections.
How does it work? Collectors and artists can add posters to the community database. These posters are high-quality, limited-edition, usually screenprinted posters. Once a poster is approved, users can add the poster to their public collection, artists attributed can sell it for free, and anyone can preview how the art would look on their wall.
Our goal is to grow the love for poster collecting.
I look forward to seeing the community evolve, artists be more successful, and newcomers discover the joy of posters. By the way, a tree is planted every time a poster is purchased and each purchase includes shipping insurance. Let me know if you have any questions!
I love how easy Poster.Party is to use! I don't have a big collection, but it was really simple to add details about my posters when I signed up, and I loved being able to customize my "wall" and see the art displayed together. I was incredibly impressed with the prompts throughout the app to provide screenreader descriptions for accessibility—for my profile picture, and for the posters I was adding. That kind of attention to detail is amazing, especially for such a new product!
I don't collect posters, but after browsing Poster.Party I think I will have to start! Too bad Flatstock 73 @ SxSW was canceled this year, but this could become a cool digital alternative.
