Make it easy for you to run your own infrastructure without having to become sysadmins. Plus you can migrate your entire environment to another platform simply.
@_jacksmith thanks for the feedback. Portal isn't directly comparable to simple VPS providers, but pricing is comparable to the high quality VPS services. Can you give me some examples of what you're comparing it to?

It's one of the most expensive that I've seen, compared to anything.
