Hi there 👋 I'm Dan, the creator of the Pomotastic 🍅 project. A while back, I started experiencing pain in the back of my head and my back from sitting in front of my laptop for long periods of time. This pain affected my productivity and concentration. Even though I was actively involved in sports, the sedentary lifestyle was the root of the problem. I consulted with my trainer and eventually went to the hospital where I received pills and massages. However, I knew that this was not a sustainable solution. Years ago, I had heard about the Pomodoro technique and had even used it. So, I decided to return to using this technique regularly while working on my laptop. This led to the creation of Pomotastic, a simple, intuitive and useful tool to help people work smarter by using the Pomodoro technique. I hope this clears things up. Congrats on the launch! What are your plans for getting more people to use your website vs. other websites that also help people focus with Pomodoro timers? If you want to speak to potential users and validate your app with them, I highly recommend Userverse (user-verse.com). Hey there! As someone who spends a lot of time on my computer, I know how hard it can be to stay focused and avoid distractions. That's why I was excited to try out Pomotastic - a Pomodoro timer that works right in your browser. I was hoping it would help me stay on track and be more productive. Pain points solved: And let me tell you, Pomotastic did not disappoint! The Pomodoro Technique - which involves breaking work into 25-minute intervals, with short breaks in between - has been a total game-changer for my productivity. And using Pomotastic to implement this technique has made it even easier to stay focused and avoid getting sidetracked by social media or emails. Plus, it's super customizable, so you can adjust the timer intervals, set goals, and track your progress. Improvements: Now, I will say that Pomotastic's design could use a bit of a refresh - it looks a bit outdated and could be more visually appealing. I've been using Pomotastic a lot at work lately, and it works well to remind me to work and rest. But I have a small request, is it possible to customize the time of Pomotastic, more than just limiting it to 25 minutes, because I sometimes want it to be a bit longer.
