Hello Product Hunters 👋 I’m super excited to launch Polygloss, a collaborative language learning game for the intermediate level. I’ve been working on this project for a couple of years, which I started during a masters in computational linguistics. I’ve poured all my academic knowledge and practical first-hand experience speaking multiple languages into it.

I just found this app today and lost a chunk of my day playing it, it is super well done and I cannot wait to see its continued growth, I already signed on for life and I am cheap lol I love that I get to be creative with my sentences and I can challenge myself as much or as little as I want to. Some peoples clues are really funny and it encourages me to not only think in Spanish, but to do so with creative flair because it engages my intense need to try and be funny or clever with my hints lol Check it out, there are many different price points including free.

I'm so impressed by the continuous growth and development of the app. If anyone is yet to try it, the absolute highlight for me is the design of the app, that supports any language, also languages with low-resources that are spoken by smaller communities and that are traditionally excluded from the bigger apps out there. It also attends to the gap between language comprehension and production, which anyone who has ever tried to learn a language knows that it is the biggest chasm to cross. I learn Italian and perfect my German thought it, as well as check periodically if anyone is learning Macedonian to correct their input or pair with them.
