Podcourse Learning is a library of topic-based collections of podcasts that distill knowledge into neatly packaged playlists. As an avid learner and a PM, I wanted to combine my interests and skill sets to help you learn something new, everyday.
Hey, makers.
I’m so excited to share with you Podcourse Learning, a project I spent the last few weeks working on. As an avid learning enthusiast and product manager in the podcasting industry, I often find myself spending hours listening to podcasts on a daily basis. Listening to podcasts has become the number one source for me to learn new things.
Though there is an abundance of great content out there, I’ve noticed that it’s quite difficult to shift through the hundreds of thousands of podcast episodes. I have felt completely overwhelmed with choices when trying to look for episodes that specifically cater to certain topics I’m interested in, and have wished that there was an easy way to be recommended the best, most relevant podcasts.
So I came up with this idea to have domain experts drive recommendations. For the first launch of this product, I went to LinkedIn Learning to search for courses, researched the author and syllabus, and then found similar content in podcasts. In this way, I have made over 30 podcast playlists that will help you learn something new, ranging from emotional intelligence to strategic thinking.
You’d be surprised at how many experts on sites like Coursera have been sharing their knowledge through podcasts. The best perk of all – the podcasts are free.
I made this scrappy website on my own last week and wanted to share this with you so that we can all learn something new. If you find this useful, please subscribe. I’d love to hear any feedback or thoughts you may have!
This side project cannot be done without the generous help from Jenny, Julia, James, Cory, Haroon, and Yu. Love you guys!
Thank you PH, and enjoy.
