Pocket Casts is highly praised for its excellent user interface, ease of use across devices, and seamless cross-device syncing. Users appreciate its open-source nature and the ability to easily add and organize podcasts. Many have switched from other platforms like Spotify, citing Pocket Casts as their preferred choice for podcast listening. The introduction of a web version has been well-received, allowing users to access their favorite podcasts from anywhere. Overall, Pocket Casts is regarded as a top-tier podcast app by its users.
I've been using Pocket Casts on iOS and the Web for years and have consistently found it to be one of my favorite apps on both platforms. For being such a small team they do incredible work.
Pros:It's great to finally have a a native version of Pocket Cast's web player. The refreshed UI is also very intuitive to use.
Cons:The mac app still isn't as feature rich as the iOS or Android apps are, but the core features you'd want to see and use are already there.
