I'm happy to announce Pocket Bitcoin here on Product Hunt. Matt, Tobias and myself have been working on this for over a year now. It has always bugged us how confusing and intimidating it still is to get started with Bitcoin. Pocket is our mission to make Bitcoin more accessible and to promote its safe usage by default. With Pocket, you buy bitcoin directly from your existing bank account. The bitcoin are automatically paid out to a Bitcoin wallet of your choice, which you alone have access to. You don't make an account with Pocket and you don't have to install a new app. Up to a threshold of $1k per day you don't even have to upload any personal documents, thanks to our implicit KYC process. Building Pocket Bitcoin has been quite a journey mixed with lots of technical and regulatory challenges. Finally, three months ago we started on-boarding our first beta testers and kept improving the product. Now, blessed with over a hundred early customers and a lot of great feedback we've decided to open up Pocket Bitcoin to our entire European market.
