I'd recommend a free tier so that people can try it out. For your target audience, something like 100 PDFs/month shouldn't cannibalize your business. Yet, it's plenty to play around with.

I've been a developer for 5 years and one of the things I hated more than anything was PDF's. They're dull, finicky and always take more time than you expect. I remember doing refinement preparation and actively avoiding PDF stories (I know, a terrible thing for a dev to admit). That's why I decided to create PlutoPDF. A Chromium powered PDF generator wrapped behind an easy, asynchronous API. No more complicated PDF infrastructure, you can concentrate on the core of your product and leave the donkey work to us. PlutoPDF processes your requests in parallel so you can queue as many documents as necessary and, on completion, will send the data back via a webhook. However, they're also available to download from our servers for a set amount of time. Let me know your opinions! Thanks Scott

How is this different from Pdfbix or api2pdf? They're way cheaper, simple and easy to use. 1. pdfbix - https://www.pdfbix.com 2. api2pdf - https://www.api2pdf.com/

@sumeetkbhardwaj Hi, Great question! The API is similar and I'm sure these products (as well as others) work excellently. The difference in pricing between PlutoPDF and these products is to do with the "extras" (for want of a better word) These two products have their pricing model based on the number of requests, the time a PDF takes to generate and also the file size. So if you take PdfBix as an example. If you were to generate 2000 PDF's that had an average size of 10 MB (just an example) it would cost you nearly $35. PlutoPDF bases it only on the number of requests so you can generate larger files that take a longer time without ever risking going over your budget. There is also a potential option to add a "pay as you go model" as well which would suit the people who don't have as many requests, that's something that could be a consideration. I hope this answers your question :-)
