After a pretty successful silent launch of placiibo, I felt it was time to share it with more people.
placiibo was made to be able to transform your amiibo backup files into a physical usable backup NFC tag. The benefit of this is that you can use this while your amiibo stays in pristine condition.
Currently placiibo supports:
- NTAG215 NFC tags
- binary files of 560 bytes
- encryption keys of 60 bytes
Right now you have to use an external tool to extract the backup files, or you can import the backup files that you already have into placiibo.
Focus for the short term lies in:
- feature to identify amiibo by scanning them
- feature to create a backup file through placiibo, eliminating the need to use other devices to capture the backup file
- feature to catalogue your amiibo collection
- exploring support for other figurines than amiibo
