Piano Forte is a free, open-source piano plugin that uses a dual engine, blending a lightweight neural network and a physical model, to assure the best balance between efficiency and fidelity.
The year? 2001. 14 years old me stood mesmerized after discovering Fruity Loops, and entering the rabbit hole of DAWs and VSTs. Suddenly, I could have a wealth of different instruments in the palm of my hand, compose music, and mix it. More than two decades later, I'm finally able to give back to this awesome community. My humble contribution is Piano Forte, a free, open-source piano plugin that blends some of the results of my Ph.D. research with physical modeling, to deliver a lightweight, well-rounded, flexible-sounding instrument.
