Swipe up if you want to delete a photo and swipe left and right to move through your library, just like your normal photos app! You can also choose from which photo of your album you want to start swiping for a better experience.
This is the first purchase I made via ProductHunt. Loved the concept and the price tag was ridiculously low here in India (10 INR or 0.15 USD).
I would love the following additions:
1. The ability to zoom in to a photo before deciding to keep or delete it
2. A way to go back to the previous photo
3. A way to see which photo is next. Often, you click 4-5 shots hoping that 1 will be the perfect shot. So I need to compare and then delete the rest.
4. I got a feeling that all photos were not showing in their full resolution. They were a little zoomed in. That's dangerous considering that I'm going to delete a photo based on what I see.
5. A last suggestion, change the text to 'Space saved' instead of 'Space deleted' :-)
All the best
@arastuz Hello Arastu thanks for reaching out! You can actually zoom in, just tap the photo once and then zoom in there at full resolution.
You can undo with the undo button on the bottom to see the previous photo you swipe. And I'll change the text, thanks for the suggestion. And yes, it's almost free, since almost all the customers aren't from "emergent" countries, I choose to set the lower price I could for those countries so they could also have the same apps other countries use, I'm from Mexico so here is at $5 Mexican Pesos (0.29 USD)
@lfsalazar Yes, the price point was very compelling! Just tried the zoom, that's great. But could you integrate the usual pinch to zoom thingy? Or will that interfere with the gestures of the keep/trash? 'Undo' did the trick too, cool!
Now having a way to see which photos are next to take a decision on the current one would be cool. One way could be to retain the undo button but add 2 navigation buttons. The 'left' taking to the photos you decided to 'Keep' and the 'right' one taking you to the one that's next in line. You may need a 'Go back' to original photo button as well to keep this flow. Another method could be to detect the time at which photos were taken and group the similar ones together for review.
@ivarjain Hi Ravi, thanks for the interest, because this is a paid app PhotoTrash doesn't hace a daily limit of photos to delete and besides that PhotoTrash lets you delete from every album on your iPhone, it has unlimited undo, an option to delete all the photos of the album you choose and another little details while Flic only lets you delete from camera roll, only 100 photos a day, and you only can undo the last thing you did no more. Flic isn't optimized for iPhone 6 or 6 plus screen also and doesn't let you zoom in on photos.
@lfsalazar@ivarjain Out of interest, why did you chose on the up-front pricing model rather than adverts? I'm assuming this would be an app that people would use quite regularly, and should provide a steady source of income?
@ausonio I don't really like ads on app likes this one, the only way I liked them is in apps based on content, I think ads mess up with the experience of using the app and makes you feel kinda uncorfomtable while using it
