What do you think? …

Kiki Schirr
Phoenix is one of the weirder products that I've hunted, but I think the concept of death is changing as our interactions with technology become more intimate.

@kikischirr I know it seems morbid but I've had friends that had tradgic circumstances and passed away. The only thing I wish it did have was video. So much more can be conveyed in video format for me personally.
Kiki Schirr
@waltspence I had initial concerns about those considering ending their own life, but Enrique (the maker) pointed out that the delayed nature of the messaging would make it less than convenient for a note of that sort.

@waltspence @kikischirr That's true. I've been thinking to add video as well, but to make things simple, I started with plain emails, I also plan to add attachments as well in the following months.

As someone who once had a startup in the death-care industry (yes, that's a thing), I don't think this is weird at all! There are a ton of people who would find benefits from services/products like this one.

@alirtariq Glad to hear that Ali! 🙂

A use case, I can immediately think of, is using this service to convey important account information (bank details and internet logins). There are millions of dollars lying unclaimed and idle in banks everywhere because no one came for the money. I have a feeling one of my dead relatives would have left me some huge sum of money if this sort of service was created earlier. 😊

@patrick_udeh Haha yeah, originally I had the idea of sending important information like social media accounts, bank accounts, logins, etc. But since it is very sensitive information it'll be hard for people to write them down, and then I thought about a plain old text alternative, and that was the big pivot, ^^
