Christian and I have felt this firsthand using music to power us through the toughest parts of marathon training. However, we found it’s time consuming to build and maintain great playlists, and after we did, the music quickly became stale. Like the response to real time input of hear rate. Could you talk more about how it incorporates heart rate?

@xiaolei_shi For sure! Perform learns your music taste and maps it to different training intensity zones. Then, you can set your heart rate zones in Perform to automatically DJ the music in real-time, dialing up or down the intensity based on your heart rate increasing or decreasing. We also use heart rate data mapped to music to learn what songs best motivates you and improve your music recommendations.

@xiaolei_shi Additionally to what Eric said, we trained a neural net using the time-series data from around 100k workouts with heart rate and music. This allows us to play the right personalized music at the right moment during your workout using input signals such as heart rate, speed, location, and more.
