Pet-sitting services today can cost as much as $1,000/week, why not have pet parents help one another? Users on Pawsible can browse nearby pet parents who are willing to pet-sit mutually. They send an invite, schedule a pet-sit and return the favor when free.
Hi guys! My name is Jerry, a co-founder at Pawsible. We're an app that connects pet parents within the same neighborhood for mutual pet-sitting. If you're like me who have a pet and live in an expensive place like San Francisco, you know the struggle: pet-sitting services can get really expensive! We're talking $50 for a dog walk, $300 to feed a cat over the weekend and $1,000 to take care of them for a week. My other co-founders Jenny and Qifan, who are also pet parents, and I thought, "Why not build a platform where all pet parents can help one another?" Then, Pawsible was born.
We now have about 500 users, with more than 50% based in the Bay Area, but we need MORE MORE MORE! If you have a fur baby or simply an animal lover, I'd LOVE for you to give our app a try and let us know of your experience: is it easy to navigate? How do you like our design & scheduling system? Any ideas to make our app better? Etc. We'd love for you to be part of our growth journey.
It sounds like a great idea! Sometimes, I think pet owners are burdened with too many costs, like care fees, hospital bills. and so on. Congrats on the launch !🎉
@kay_arkain Thank you! That's how we started this project - we have cats and we travel a lot, and it became too expensive to use paid pet sitters, and we went out of way to find pet parents nearby to exchange help. :)
@busmark_w_nika We definitely want to implement that once we have some sitting events scheduled! We are now in the process of implementing user verification with a video taken with their pets, and we give them a badge once verified! We definitely can do a lot more on the security side, such as insurance coverage - but we are still at a mvp stage and not enough fundings to do things like those yet but we are working on it!

Do you somehow check the pet sitters? Some reviews or satisfactory points? To leave the pet with a good soul :)
