We've been making IoT development kits for a few years now – first for Wi-Fi and second for cellular. We decided to add mesh networking because we've seen so many customers struggle to get two or more devices talking directly to one another. It's such a common problem that it's surprising that there aren't good solutions that make it easy to build local radio networks for IoT devices – especially if you want the connections to be secure and reliable.
