Parachute Backup

This started from a simple frustration: I wanted a way to back up my iCloud Photos and Drive—on my own terms. iCloud is great, but it’s not a time machine, and for years I felt uneasy knowing that decades of memories lived only in the cloud, without an easy way to keep a local copy. Parachute is my answer to that. It’s a Mac app that runs quietly in the background and automatically mirrors your iCloud Photos and Drive to your own storage—whether that’s an external drive, a NAS, or a synced folder. It doesn’t crowd your disk, doesn’t require a subscription, and most importantly, it gives you ownership of your data.
