It was a great pleasure to build this product. I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter movies. 👻
The idea came when I was studying more about modern software technologies for web development (e.g. React, FaaS, NoSQL, Docker, CI/CD), and I was struggling to come up with some idea that I could use to put into practice what I have learned from it.
Eventually, Owl Hedwig 🦉 was something that came to my mind as a way to build something at zero cost that other Harry Potter fans could enjoy for free.
I'm happy to say that after less than 48 hours since launch, we already have more than 1,000 subscribers receiving their daily messages. And I'm also happy to share its source code for free on GitHub to support other developers like me that also wants to improve their coding skills.
I hope you can have some fun with it. And also, have a play with the source code if you wish.
