This is very cool. Someday they'll ship 3D printers with computers the way they do 2D printers today... and make money off the "ink cartridges"... err, "metals, woods, waxes, plastics, and printed circuit boards"! :)
@chrismessina The computer part isn't necessary anymore, these personal fabricators will all be cloud connected. Note that this Othermill is the opposite of a 3D printer. See also the Glowforge personal laser cutter.
It's a really exciting time for makers of all kinds.
I'm much more excited about laser cutters and mills like these than 3D printers. They can just get so much closer to a finished product than a 3D printer.
