Hey everybody! This is our first launch of OSO - we've been working on it the past 8 months.
The mission behind OSO is to create a better way for people to access information and interact with technology.
We've developed an AI Search Engine that reads through the entire internet, pulls out relevant information, and delivers a detailed summary - saving users immense time over endless scrolling through traditional search engines to piece together fragmented information.
We also trained our own censorship-free AI Chat, because we were alarmed by the big tech censorship of common LLMs and believe that freedom of information and letting people formulate their own opinions is critical for a bright future.
In the near future we will be combining AI Search and Uncensored Chat into a unified UI and opening up our API so anyone can build applications on-top of OSO.
We would love your feedback so we can continue building OSO to benefit our users. We prioritize new features based on community votes - from within the app menu you can request features, report bugs, make suggestions, and vote on what other users have suggested.
Share your thoughts about what's needed most in the AI ecosystem in this 10 second survey and get 1 month of OSO Pro for Free! https://cks7fzppsjn.typeform.com...
Thanks for taking the time to check out OSO!
@ena_gluhakovic We utilize domain authority and a multitude of other factors in an attempt to extract information with the highest likelihood of being accurate and dependable. If you find any inaccuracies, you have the option to downvote, which will prompt OSO to re-evaluate the data and learn from your feedback.
Congratulations @aiian on the launch of OSO! 🎉 Your mission to enhance information access and promote freedom of expression through an AI-powered search engine and uncensored chat is truly commendable. With OSO, users can save valuable time and explore information without restrictions, empowering them to form their own opinions and navigate the digital landscape more efficiently. I'm excited to see how OSO evolves and how it continues to benefit its users. Here's to a bright future of innovation and inclusivity in the AI ecosystem! 🚀🔍

Dear OSO AI Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I’m Michelle, Business Development at Orenji Studio.
I want to introduce Orenji Studio, Indonesia's design service starting in 2020 with a small team of 10 members. Since our launch, our job has been about Product Design, Digital Branding, Creative Illustration, and Motion Design.
What makes us unique:
- Small design team to focus more and faster to raise your brand and product.
- You'll be invited to our Figma, so we can always collaborate and discuss the project.
- Unlimited requests and revisions to perfect the work!
Some of our clients include:
Opaper, Pawsh, Jakpat, GoDaddy, WiiWoo, Mealmates, Motion Circles, etc. We think that we can help PixelFree Studio shortly, and we would like to invite you for a further conversation with our team. If the PixelFree Studio team has time this week, can we set up a Google Meet to discuss this collaboration? Please don't hesitate to contact me through this message or WhatsApp (6285886641187). Thank you.
Warm Regards,
Michelle Maharani
@edward_sturm OSO will always give you both sides of any topic, even highly controversial ones, and let you form your own opinion. For example, if you ask what are the economic and societal impact of legalizing marijuana, it will give you both pros and cons; whereas other AI Chats will say, "Marijuana is illegal and bad or I can't answer that question" - even though it has been legalized in many places.
@mikstampe that's a very interesting question. To be truely censorship-resistant we have to migrate away from centralized infrastructure. This can be done with innovations in other areas such as compression and potentially web3 technology. Running LLMs locally on your own devices in combination with having a community owned network that has moderation controls is curerntly the most feasible solution in the nearish-term.
@aiian That sounds super inspiring, thanks for the thorough answer.
Being censorship-resistant (and unbiased for that matter) should really be at the core of all AIs. It seems logic, so why do you think this isn't a priority for ChatGPT, BARD, etc?
@mikstampe I believe its due to an uncertain regulatory environment where companies are afraid of liability. However, our stance is that any tech product or tool can be used malicously, and the liability should be on the end user as it always has been. for example google doesn't get in trouble when someone uses it to research malicious activities or apple/microsoft when their computers and programs are used to conduct malicous activities.
Andreessen has a different view that's a bit more conspiracy https://x.com/pmarca/status/1761...
It seems to be a great tool but since 12 March when I purchased it together with the premium subscription; so far, all the searches I've carried out are in "Search is in-progress" status.
