hey developers, I've spent the whole night compiling this list out of > winners of Product Hunt > best dev tools on DevHunt > recently active on GitHub > most internet backlinks > most mentions as "alternative to." > most upvoted on hacker news
I really like open-source stuff.
I even made my own version of Product Hunt. It's called DevHunt.
I've been collecting cool open-source projects on my computer.
Then, I tweeted about it and a lot of people saw it.
This made me think that maybe I should organize them all in one place.
So, last night, I put all the projects into a Google sheet.
Then I built an online directory using Unicorn Platform (https://unicornplatform.com/).
At 6 am this morning, I shared it on Twitter, Hacker News and Devto before going to sleep.
When I woke up... wow!
It was super viral everywhere!
Lots of folks started commenting on the categories and tools.
That's when I realized that everyone should be able to comment. So now you can! Just go here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsh...
What do I want to build?
Well, something like Wikipedia or Google but for awesome open source tools.
These are the projects I manually collected:
> winners of Product Hunt
> best dev tools on DevHunt
> recently active on GitHub
> most internet backlinks
> most mentions as "alternative to .."
> most upvoted on hacker news
