In fall 2024, over coffee, a product manager friend grumbled that his job felt like “ticking boxes.” “It’s just a job,” he muttered with a shrug. But I couldn’t help but smile, because to me, it was anything but ordinary.
For six years, I had poured myself into building job platforms, guiding over two million young job seekers each year toward their first professional opportunities. My inbox overflowed with stories from young people who hadn’t just found jobs—they’d discovered purpose, passion, and new beginnings. One story lingered in my mind: a young woman who had nearly given up after over 50 rejections. Then she found a role that felt tailor-made for her. In a heartfelt note, she wrote, “You’ve given me more than a job—you’ve given me hope.”
That fueled me. With Jerry, a brilliant young PhD, and Kin, an investor and seasoned entrepreneur in the HR industry, we shared one mission: creating a fairer job market. Now, I was ready for our big swing—an AI Agent to revolutionize job seeking. More than just a matching tool, it would connect the right people with roles that could truly change their lives.
This wasn’t merely a product; it was a movement. A chance to harness technology to dismantle barriers, empower individuals, and reshape the very landscape of work.
