Thank you @rohanrecommends for hunting us!
I'm Sandeep, CEO and co-founder of Datazip 👋. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce OpenEngine.
Two years ago, I started Datazip with a mission: to help businesses unlock their data's full potential without technical constraints or budget-breaking costs.
If you've been in the data trenches, you know how powerful our primary warehouse can be. But you've likely also felt the frustration of resource conflicts and system downtimes during complex ad-hoc queries.
My team and I have lived this struggle throughout our data careers. That's why we created OpenEngine. It's a feature that lets teams run queries through ad-hoc virtual warehouses instead of the main warehouse instance. This prevents overload and speeds up query execution.
Here's what OpenEngine offers:
1️⃣ Complex, memory-intensive queries without system downtime
2️⃣ Dynamic resource scaling (a game-changer for our users)
3️⃣ Improved efficiency for data teams, cutting operational costs by up to 50%
We're proud to say our beta users have seen at least a 10x improvement in reliability. And if you're using Metabase and other BI tools, we've got you covered - OpenEngine integrates seamlessly.
OpenEngine is free to try for 30 days, and we'd love your feedback on this.
Having built data-intensive applications, I understand the challenges OpenEngine is tackling.
The dynamic resource allocation is brilliant - it's something we've always wanted. This could be a real differentiator for companies dealing with unpredictable data workloads.
Excited to see how this shapes the future of data engineering.
Best wishes, Datazip team!
@akshay_hangloo1 Thank you so much for the thoughtful words! 🙌 It's great to hear that someone with your experience sees the value in dynamic resource allocation—it's definitely one of the key features we're excited about.
We're optimistic about how OpenEngine will help teams tackle unpredictable data workloads more efficiently. Appreciate the support and best wishes!
Hi @akshay_hangloo1 Thanks for your support.
We've built this for solving downtime problems in Warehouse for Data Analysts, now they can test larger Queries and Database Transformations without any hassle.
@akshay_hangloo1 We're excited that you recognize the potential impact of dynamic resource allocation in addressing the challenges of unpredictable data workloads. Thanks for your wishes and support !
Hi @risonsimon OpenEngine is built on top of ClickHouse which handles the Data Partitioning, OpenEngine provides you capabilities to run Adhoc Queries within few seconds on a larger instance without facing any downtime on the original ClickHouse instance.
