OOIR lists current research trends across scientific journals based on the attention they receive across news channels and social media. The website also offers journal rankings based on transparently calculated data.
I just launched OOIR, a platform that constantly lists trending research across ca. 12.000 peer-reviewed scientific journals. It is completely free.
It started as a personal project just for my use; but I figured that it would be useful for a greater audience -- not only for scholars who work in academia.
OOIR enables serendipitous research discovery, and hopes to lower what is called "research waste". In addition, its data could be used for meta-scientific studies (e.g., what kind of research gets widespread attention?).
Well, I am excited about the path forward. I hope you like it!
This is amazing. I'm not an academic but I love reading journal articles here and there. One thing I hardly ever know, unless I work hard to get that information, is what is trending. I especially love the Field of Research filter. Upvoted and bookmarked. Thank you for sharing!
